Mosaica: A World-Class Program
A World-Class Education
Today’s life-skills require thinking, flexibility and the capacity to implement new ideas. By the time students graduate from high school, they require a wide breadth of knowledge upon which to build more in-depth, specialized training.
Mosaica Education will enable its graduates to make immediate contributions to the workplace. Using international benchmarks for student achievement promotes mastery of core competencies in Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Foreign Language. Content-rich materials and well-trained teachers instill in students an understanding and appreciation of the history of the ideas to provide the cultural context from which will grow a life-long dedication to learning.
To the traditional 3 Rs of Reading, WRiting and ARithmetic, Mosaica adds another 3 Rs: Art, Research and Reasoning. By integrating the visual and performing arts into the interdisciplinary study of the history of ideas, Mosaica’s afternoon Paragon Curriculum conveys to children in a compelling manner the expressive and expansive legacies we’ve inherited from world cultures. Numerous studies document the correlation between a strong arts program anchored in the core curriculum and superior standardized tests, and student retention. Moreover, by cultivating research and reasoning skills through a rich variety of pedagogical strategies, from Socrates to software, Mosaica students reap results in achievement and mastery.
Bold Initiatives and Smart Investments
Mosaica Education invests private capital in each school it manages. Buildings are upgraded with modern technology and computers in every classroom are networked. Each classroom features a personal computer for every three students, which affords them extensive access to the latest technology as a tool for learning. A Mosaica school features a clean, safe and attractive environment, conducive to learning.
The school day and academic calendar are extended, culminating in a supplementary four years of instruction over the course of the K-12 sequence. The increased learning time allows for true mastery, rather than cursory coverage of curriculum content, and for increased exposure to engaging enrichment programs that teach to the full range of a student’s multiple intelligences.
Egalitarian Spirit With High Expectations
By providing all of its students, regardless of economic or social status with a world-class education, Mosaica intends to bridge the gaps between socioeconomic disparities, as well as academics and real-world pragmatism. Mosaica schools consider the diverse talents and cultural backgrounds of their students a great teaching tool for perspective enlargement. Knowing that genuine self-esteem derives from a challenging job well done, Mosaica develops in its students a spirit of cooperation and holds all of them to rigorous standards of academic excellence and exemplary character.
Enhanced Efficiency of Operation
Mosaica’s primary goal is to improve the efficiency of the institutional delivery of education, raising the standards and galvanizing the strengths of public education.
Combining the leadership talents of a team experienced in public education, management, research, teacher training, curriculum development, and program implementation, Mosaica’s management shares a strong commitment to promoting the self-actualization of every student that it serves.
Operating at current public school funding levels, Mosaica will reallocate funds for enhanced curriculum, teacher training, technology and for an extended school day and academic year to optimize student performance.
The barometers that gauge Mosaica’s success include higher standardized test scores, marked progress in the quality of performance-based assessments, improved student attendance, retention and graduation, as well as enhanced motivation, satisfaction and morale on the parts of students, teachers and parents.
